When Life Hits Hard: How Our Small Business Kept Moving Forward

Running a small business is rarely a straight line. It’s a series of highs, lows, unexpected detours, and moments that test you in ways you never planned for. Over the past few months, we’ve experienced all of that, and then some.

We don’t usually mix personal matters with business, but the truth is, this business has always been personal. We’re a true mom-and-pop shop, not a large corporation. Behind every order update, every email, and every message is a real person...me. I’ve been the sole customer service representative for our shop for years, and I take that responsibility seriously.

Since October, however, life threw some challenges our way. I’ve been dealing with ongoing health issues, including kidney disease, multiple hospital stays, a blood clot, and most recently the start of immunotherapy. I did everything I could to keep things moving as normally as possible, but when you’re the only point of contact, even small disruptions can ripple outward. Some responses were slower than usual, and for that, I sincerely apologize.

What never changed and what I’m most proud of, is our commitment to quality and craftsmanship. While I was navigating those personal hurdles, our crew showed up in a big way. They worked tirelessly behind the scenes to keep production flowing, to make sure orders stayed safe, and to ensure that what left our shop still met the standards we’ve built our name on for over 13 years.

This period was a reminder that even one broken spoke can affect the entire wheel. But it was also a reminder of the strength of a team that truly cares. Thanks to their dedication and support, we’re now back up to speed and moving forward with clarity, focus, and renewed momentum.

There were moments of uncertainty over the past few months, and also moments where the path ahead wasn’t entirely clear. With treatment underway and a better understanding of what lies ahead, we’re feeling hopeful. More than that, we’re confident that this chapter will ultimately make us stronger, more resilient, and even more appreciative of the community that surrounds us.

To our customers: thank you for your patience, your trust, and your continued support of a small business built by real people. For more than 13 years, I’ve committed my life to providing the best experience possible, and your understanding during this time truly means more than words can express.

We’re grateful to be here, grateful for our crew, and grateful for you.
