Using Our Shipping & Delivery Service

At Wood You Build It, we take pride in delivering your handcrafted furniture with the same care and attention that goes into building it. Our delivery service has always been personal, and that commitment will never change.

📦 Regional Delivery Fees (Effective December 21, 2025)

Beginning December 21, we will be implementing regional delivery fees based on location to support continued personal, white-glove delivery using our own Wood You Build It trucks.

Our standard regional delivery fee schedule applies to destinations east of the Mississippi River.

Deliveries west of the Mississippi River are not included in the standard pricing chart and require custom delivery coordination due to distance and logistics. If you are located west of the Mississippi, please contact us prior to placing your order so we can provide an accurate delivery quote and discuss the best option for your location.

🚛 How Our Delivery Works

We personally deliver furniture using Wood You Build It trucks and drivers, with the exception of West of the Mississippi. Your furniture stays in our care from our shop to your home and is brought inside and placed exactly where you want it.

For customers west of the Mississippi, delivery may be coordinated through alternate routing or third-party carriers when appropriate, always with upfront pricing and clear communication.

🕐 Timing & Scheduling

Delivery timing depends on production completion, region, and routing schedules. Regional routing allows us to keep delivery costs far below standard freight pricing while maintaining safe, reliable service.

💰 Why This Change

Rising fuel, labor, and operating costs make it impossible to continue offering free delivery while maintaining this level of service. Trying to offer “free shipping” over the course of all these years by paying out of pocket to offer our customers the free service is not tolerable any longer. We can thank the Amazon’s and Wal Mart’s of the world for affecting mom and pop shops everywhere, and not just us. Regional delivery fees allow us to continue delivering responsibly while still saving most customers hundreds, and often thousands of dollars compared to traditional freight shipping.

  Your furniture is handled by a Wood You Build It employee who knows your piece inside and out, not a courier unfamiliar with your purchase. (Some restrictions apply.)

• Fully Assembled Furniture
  Your furniture arrives ready to enjoy, no assembly required! For kitchen islands, the top is left detached from the base for safety during transport. In some cases where a third-party shipper is used, we provide a simple “cheat sheet” with screws so you can attach it in under 5 minutes using just a screwdriver (or drill). *In some cases a third party shipper will be courteous enough to attach the top for you, which is obviously always appreciated!

• We Bring It Inside Your Home
  No doorstep drop-offs, your furniture is placed exactly where you want it with installation (if using our own personal delivery truck and employed Wood You Build It delivery driver)

• Support Local & Small Business
  Your purchase supports not only Wood You Build It employees, but also local vendors and everyone involved in creating your one-of-a-kind heirloom piece. That’s the beauty of buying from a true mom-and-pop business.

• Minimal Handling, Maximum Safety
  Your furniture doesn’t bounce from facility to facility or truck to truck. Once it’s on our delivery truck, it stays there until it reaches your home, reducing the risk of defects or damage.
