A Different Approach to Shipping (Click Here to make a shipping payment or donation)

At Wood You Build It, we’ve always believed in doing things differently.

For years, we made it a priority to offer free, personal delivery by using our own trucks, planning regional routes, and filling them to the brim. That approach has saved our customers hundreds, sometimes even thousands of dollars compared to traditional freight shipping.

But the reality is…
Costs have changed.

Fuel, labor, and operating expenses have all increased, and like many small businesses, we’ve felt that pressure.

So instead of adding mandatory shipping fees like most companies…

We’re taking a different path.

We are continuing to offer free delivery, with a voluntary shipping contribution option.

That means:

  • You will never be forced to pay a shipping surcharge
  • Your order will still be delivered with the same white-glove, in-home service
  • And if you choose to contribute, it helps us continue operating the way we always have

Why We’re Doing This

We are not a mass-production company.

We are a real mom-and-pop shop, and every piece we build is handcrafted and personally delivered by our own team, not dropped on your curb by a third-party carrier.

This delivery model is:

  • Safer for your furniture
  • More personal for you
  • And something we’ve proudly stood behind for over a decade

But it’s also expensive.

Rather than passing those costs onto every customer through mandatory fees, we’re giving you the choice.

A Thank You; Not an Expectation

If you choose to contribute toward shipping, we are incredibly grateful.

If you don’t, that’s completely okay too.

Your support, simply by trusting us to build your furniture, means everything to us.

Our Promise Remains the Same

No matter what, you will always receive:

  • Handcrafted, made-to-order furniture
  • Personal delivery by our own team
  • Care, communication, and integrity from start to finish

That will never change

Why Our Shipping Service Is Unmatched

What makes us truly unique is our team of professional delivery drivers, who personally bring your furniture to your home, handle setup, and answer any questions you may have. This level of service is completely unprecedented in today’s market. (Restrictions apply.)

Benefits of Using Our Shipping Service

  • Personalized Delivery by Trained Staff
Your furniture is handled by a Wood You Build It employee who knows your piece inside and out, not a courier unfamiliar with your purchase. (Some restrictions apply.)

  • Fully Assembled Furniture
Your furniture arrives ready to enjoy, no assembly required! For kitchen islands, the top is left detached from the base for safety during transport. In some cases where a third-party shipper is used, we provide a simple “cheat sheet” with screws so you can attach it in under 5 minutes using just a screwdriver (or drill). *In some cases a third party shipper will be courteous enough to attach the top for you, which is obviously always appreciated!

  • We Bring It Inside Your Home
No doorstep drop-offs, your furniture is placed exactly where you want it with installation (if using our own personal delivery truck and employed Wood You Build It delivery driver)

  • Support Local & Small Business
Your purchase supports not only Wood You Build It employees, but also local vendors and everyone involved in creating your one-of-a-kind heirloom piece. That’s the beauty of buying from a true mom-and-pop business.

  • Minimal Handling, Maximum Safety
Your furniture doesn’t bounce from facility to facility or truck to truck. Once it’s on our delivery truck, it stays there until it reaches your home, reducing the risk of defects or damage.

Use this chart as a reference. Keep in mind that these shipping prices are actually well below the industry standard. That's because we rely on bulking our truck with multiple units at once in order to offset the cost to deliver these to various regions. To some, it could be a shock since the major corporations out there provide "free shipping." For independent mom and pop shops, this is nearly impossible to maintain.
